12 cups of water
2 cups of tamarind bar or use fresh fruit, or 2 tablespoon of powdered tamarind
lime juice- generously prepared more than enough for 12 persons
chili powder - adjusted according to your taste
shaved or crushed ice - generously prepared more than enough for 12 persons
1) Combine water and tamarind in a saucepan and boiled. Lower the heat and simmer until syrupy.
2) When mixture is thick enough, strained to remove any seeds or particles. Set aside to cool.
3) To serve, add the syrup unto a glass with crushed ice, squeezed lime juice, add chili powder and mix according to your taste.
4) Serves 12 persons.
